Greetings fellow military retiree golfers!
We hope and pray that this newsletter finds you in good health and spirits. We trust you all had a wonderful holiday season and are off to a great 2022. We continue to be optimistic that COVID will be behind us by next year’s tournament, but we’ll still plan to have provisions if called for.
Since our 1st newsletter the committee has met twice with our Myrtle Beach team in continued planning efforts for the 2022 NRMGC. We’ve made some improvements to our online registration and payment capabilities on our website: https://www.nrmgc.com, as well as the Brittain Resorts online booking process.
We truly appreciate your patience as we make this transition. As always, we’ve done our best to secure the best rates for golf and billeting in the Myrtle Beach area. We worked closely with the Myrtle Beach Convention Visitors Bureau to submit Requests for Proposal (RFP) to Myrtle Beach golf management entity companies and Resort companies in order to get the most competitive rates that would accompany our needs.
If after visiting our website, you feel the need for direct assistance regarding golf registration, please call Jaime directly at 843.282.7338 or 919.649.3865. If you need direct assistance for resort bookings, please contact Lori at 855.969.3171. We realize room costs are higher this year everywhere in Myrtle Beach, but Brittain Resorts is doing their best to accommodate players’ billeting requests and are providing some of the best rates in the entire Myrtle Beach area…from 30-50% discounts on most of their available rooms.
We also have ordered our new shirts and goodie bag items and we’re confident you’ll really like them as always. We’ve checked out the courses and they’re already looking great and will get even better once Spring brings the new growing season.
The Alabama Theater is fully on board and offering the same discount rates available for our players to their guests. If you want additional Alabama One show tickets for your guests and haven’t already been contacted directly, send us an email at : NRMGCtournament@gmail.com and we’ll make sure Ellen from Alabama squares you away. Of course you can always purchase additional Alabama tickets for the discount price during Registration on may 31st, 2022 at Myrtle Beach National.
So far we’ve only got about 300 players signed up for the 2022 NRMGC. If you haven’t yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. If you have, please reach out to all your retired golfing buddies and encourage them to register as soon as possible. Please inform your eligible golf buddies that there is NO WAITING LIST. All military retirees and their spouses WILL GET IN if they apply.
Spouses of retired “non-golfing” military retirees are also welcome to play. Recruiters will be rewarded a $20 PGA Tour Superstore gift card for the number of his/her NEW recruits. The top recruiter gets their 2023 application fee paid. Just make sure your recruits put your name on their application. If they forgot, they can get with a committee member and get you the credit you deserve.
