The National Retired Military Golf Classic lost one of our stalwarts, COL(R) Terry Brown passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Terry was a big part of the NRMGC as a player and Tournament Director participating for over 30 years. Terry served in the critical roles of NRMGC Treasurer for several years and Tournament Director for over 20 years. The NRMGC won’t be the same without him but will always reflect the professionalism and love for military retirees that he embedded into the culture of the NRMGC.
We hope everyone is having a great start to the year and already looking forward to this year’s National Retired Military Golf Classic! As we continue to get closer to the 2024 tournament, we want to offer a few reminders regarding the handicap and flighting processes.
Each year, the National Retired Military Golf Classic budgets $1 from each player’s entry fee to enter that player into the tournament’s Hole-In-One Pot, with the 2023 pot growing to $600! After the tournament, the pot is then split amongst all players who made a hole-in-one throughout the week.
The National Retired Military Golf Championship recently made waves by raising an impressive $13,000 for charities that support veterans and their families through player fundraising and raffles.
We hope everyone is looking forward to the 40th Anniversary of the National Retired Military Golf Classic! We would like to share with you a list of responsibilities that we will be giving the “A” players on each team this week.
