In advance of the 40th Anniversary of the 2023 National Retired Military Golf Classic, the committee is proud to welcome a new professional tournament management team in Golf Tourism Solutions (GTS). Led by Tournament Director Scott Tomasello, GTS looks forward to bringing energy and fresh ideas to the event.
Not yet registered? With the new addition of Golf Tourism Solutions, NRMGC is excited to offer an enhanced online registration found at www.nrmgc.com. Great lodging options with discounted rates are currently being offered by our host resort, Brittain Resorts. Offline tournament registration looks similar to past years, with players being able to mail-in their registration forms to P.O. Box 10172, Columbia, SC 29207.
Upon arriving at the 2023 tournament, players can look forward to a NRMGC exclusive player check in a Brittain Resort property, as well as our “Icebreaker” returning this year on Tuesday of tournament week, at Ocean Reef at 6:00pm. Players will still have a choice of a Food/Drink certificate or Alabama Theater ticket as a part of their gift package, with brand new Alabama show “ICONIC” being offered.
Once the golf begins much will remain the same as previous years, with great golf and camaraderie at the forefront. The scramble format returns and will be played on top notch golf courses. We’ve added 4 new courses to the mix. One new change welcomed by many players is men aged 65-79 are now eligible for a senior tee box. Men under 65 years old will play a standard men’s tee box, while men aged 80+ will continue to play a super senior tee box.
